I am having trouble with upping to the "blue" company, anyone else having hassle?

It has changed it's layout slightly but there seems to be an "up" error.

Are you referring to Mediafire ? If so it requires the newest version of Adobe Flash to work correctly.
So far I've used it with
Firefox & Chrome - Orca is no longer compatible

I haven't been able to upload to M from my work computer since 2009 and from half of my home-computer (one user-account) since 2010 or so ...
And I still haven't figured out why ...

    Shocked

I hope you find a solution CK - but I cvan't help you.

I noticed M changing layout - it seems to be a lot heavier on the browser now!

    I was referring to MFire.

I will try Chrome to see does it work.

I still use Orca, I hope it does not vanish into oblivion. I will let you know how I get on this evening. Thanks.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Slow but it's up , up and away. Up speed is around 136mb per hour.
    Better than nothing.
When I have fully uploaded, I will post finished product in a hidden closet in the basement.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Mediaf?re is not working for uploading.

Can anyone recommend another uploader that can be approved for use at Entropy?

you could use Mega and then file the info onto a discript page (like Maxim uses to promote E) and then up it to media....should work as it is a much smaller file, so less chance of failure.

    Just a thought!

JFrost is right - you can do that. It has been done before for a few items here and there.

As far as MF goes, I use Firefox/Chrome to up. I have abandoned Avant/Orca because they don't work well with FB games.
For FB games I use Firefox which in it's latest version works very well.

I find that the silver metallic shiny browser accommodates both banned word #2 and mediafire, but media fire is a truculent beast , often hiding uploads from me and then unveiling them later without warning... but, hey, we get there in the end Smile

I got my paws on some high end flac files but the bit rate is just way to high, me thinks they are 24 bit 96 K monsters. affraid

Is there any way to shrink them down in flac but keep the sublime quality?

    CK.

nice little program called dbpowerconverter will convert to normal WAV files, which can be burned to CD or to lame mp3 files, but you would lose some of the quality..

it's freeware, I'll pm you a link if you want Smile
